Financial District

WALL STREET/FINANCIAL DISTRICT
Southern most tip of Manhattan
This is the internationally recognized financial district that lies at the southern most tip of the island.
The only real reason you’d choose to live here is if you work in this area and want to roll out of bed and
be at your office with a 5-minute commute. If you first look at apartments here during the workday
hours, be sure to come back at night. The hustle and bustle of Wall Street dies down after 6:00 PM. The
weekends are extremely quiet. It is one of the newest residential outposts with old office buildings
being converted into residential apartments. The local services haven’t quite caught up yet, so your
choices are limited and you may need to reach beyond your neighborhood to get everything you want.
